| Job description | The individual will be responsible for leading and executing medium to large projects in the practice area of water resources engineering. The individual will be responsible for supervising, training, and mentoring junior level practitioners in executing projects. The individual will work closely with senior level practitioners in the firm, and be actively involved in pursuing consulting opportunities with existing and new clients. The individual will be required to manage and conduct work in technical disciplines that include, but are not limited to: civil design and site layout; hydrologic and hydraulic modeling of small and large watersheds; floodplain modeling; design of constructed wetlands, sedimentation basins, stormwater BMPs, and related hydraulic structures; water quality modeling; erosion and sediment control design and field implementation; field investigations and construction support services. |
| Job requirements | Bachelors Degree (BS) in Civil/Environmental Engineering and Masters Degree (MS) in Civil/Environmental Engineering with emphasis in water resources or a closely related discipline. Possess five to eight years of engineering experience in conducting water resources project assignments. Experience shall include engineering calculations, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, engineering drawing and specifications, and field engineering. Professional Civil Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia or the ability to obtain reciprocity in Georgia is required. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), and sound engineering/scientific problem-solving abilities. Demonstrate commitment to technical excellence and quality of work product. Experience with modeling/design tools such as EPA-SWMM, TR-55, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS, ARCGIS, and AUTOCAD preferred. Ability and willingness to perform field work and travel is required. |
