| Job description | Assist in GIS and graphics needs of the group Serve as a technician for data collection and analysis Participation on field surveys of environmental projects Working in the development and modifications of databases Duties include but not limited to the following: Application of all conventional aspects and principles of GIS - data input/verification; database storage, creation and manipulation; data analyses, and data presentation. Assisting Project Managers/Engineers in preparing maps and drawings utilizing ArcGIS, ESRI and AutoCAD. Assisting in report and proposal graphics Editing graphics files to meet specifications and manipulate files for data extraction. Making interpretations and determinations on mapping data using defined protocols and systems. |
| Job requirements | Ideal candidate should possess the following: The candidate will have 2-5 years experience and be able to work independently using ArcGIS, ERSI and AutoCAD software. Excellent data management skills are required including the ability to organize, accurately reproject and reliably maintain all types of geospatial data. Excellent organizational and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to coordinate and work efficiently with team members on large GIS projects with shared data and interdependent data deliverables. Experience with the import and export of AutoCAD data in the ESRI environment. Working knowledge of other graphics software such as Visio, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office are highly desirable. Willingness to participate in field survey and data collection activities. |
